On the second weekend of December The Ragbirds will be presenting Ebird & Friends 7th Annual Holiday Show. It’s a unique variety-show-style performance, put together by Erin Zindle (also known as Ebird) and featuring many of her amazingly talented friends including George Bedard, Laith Al-Saadi, Katie Lee (Appleseed Collective), Jen Sygit, Yorg Kerasiotis (FlashClash), Members of The Macpodz, Moxie Strings, Kiana June Weber (Gaelic Storm), and more!
The show is a creative spin on Holiday tunes from many traditions with a wide range of genres and instruments from all over the world. Expect to hear originals, traditional songs, holiday favorites and Christmas carols turned inside out and on their ears as fiddles, horns, hand bells, percussion, and many voices join together. These are the songs that bring us in from the cold and express the true joy of gathering together for the holidays. Over the years this show has become a tradition for many Ann Arbor families, and as word spreads the audience grows each year.
Opening night begins at 8pm on Saturday, December 13th at The Ark in Ann Arbor. There will also be a second performance on Sunday, December 14th at the Hartland High School Auditorium at 4pm.
Tickets for The Ark performance are available at The Ark box office, at the Michigan Union Ticket Office, or online at www.theark.org. Tickets for the Hartland performance are available at Milford Music, Hartland Community Ed and online at www.theragbirds.com. Tickets are $20. More information, including the full lineup and a live music sampler from previous years is available at www.theragbirds.com
