This year we’re excited to welcome some of our closest friends for a “The Ragbirds and Friends” show on Friday June 21st. Ebird & Friends Kids Show

The Ragbirds are pleased to announce the 1st Annual “Ebird & Friends Kids Show!” at the Ark in Ann Arbor on Saturday, May 11^th.The show will include music by The Ragbirds joined by members of The MacPodz. Featured artists include Dick Siegel, Chris Buhalis, Jim Roll, Brant Losinski (Rootstand), Chris Good (The Funky Farmer), The Understorey, Diana Ladio (Moxie Strings), and more. With comedienne Shelly Smith as the MC, it will be an afternoon of music, dancing and silliness.

When Erin & Randall discovered they were pregnant with their first child they were overjoyed. As musicians who make their living from touring the US (they average 150 shows a year), they realized it was time to think of rooting down in the community, and branching out in new ways. Working with children seemed like a natural extension of their musical journey and they decided to reach out to their Ann Arbor musical family to join in the fun.

Erin has always had a deep fondness for the songs of her childhood. Since 2008 it has become a yearly tradition for The Ragbirds to present a unique, family-friendly holiday show called “Ebird & Friends”. The songs and artists change from year to year, but the spirit of the event is community and the shows consistently sell out.

In “Ebird & Friends Kids Show” she will draw on these roots and use her creative energy to bring new life to childhood favorites with the help of her many talented musical guests. Kids and adults alike will be entertained by this collaborative performance of new and old songs.

Pre-sale tickets are available online at www.theark.org and at The Ark box office. Doors open at 12:30pm show starts at 1:00pm. Tickets are $10. A second performance of the show will be on Sunday, December 12^th at The Hartland Music Hall in Hartland, MI.

Erin & Randall Are Expecting

We are excited to share with you some very big news! Erin and Randall will be having a baby this summer! Erin is just about 20 weeks pregnant and the baby is expected on August 20th. She’s been trying to hide the baby bump under cute dresses for the last few weeks, but the rumors have already been flying. So it’s time to make it public – starting, as always with you, our fans, friends, supporters and family.

In case you missed the big news last month, our new LIVE album “We Belong to the Love,” is now released and available for sale!

A release for the fans, we’re excited to deliver 12 songs recorded over two nights in September 2012 at rowdy shows in Grand Rapids, MI at The Pyramid Scheme and one of our favorite hometown hangouts The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor to capacity crowds. ‘We Belong to the Love’ gives an early sneak peak at two unreleased new tracks ‘Lucky Rhythm’ and ‘We Belong to the Love.’

NYE in Grand Rapids

For the last two years we’ve flown south to ring in the new year in Key West, FL. We’re very excited to bring the party back to Michigan to celebrate with our good friends The Crane Wives and Lindsay Lou and the Flatbelly’s at Founders Brewing Company in Grand Rapids! This show is sure to reach capacity, so get there early to avoid being left out in the cold.

We’re writing this month’s email newsletter from the road in the middle of a five week long tour.
